About Dahl & Associates

Hi, and welcome!

I’d like to introduce myself – I am a coach, a connector and a communicator.  For over twenty years, I’ve had the privilege to work with thousands of people either in search of a new job or in search of a new team member for their organization.  Most of that time, I’ve been hired by high tech and non-profit organizations here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest to find great talent for their teams.  And, now, I also get to coach many folks in their career transitions, helping them clarify, prepare for and find their next great career adventure. 

I work with each client to clarify their strengths and priorities, developing their strategy for their Career Transition, optimize their resumes, their marketing and networking strategies, and their interviewing and negotiating skills.  Using Energy Psychology and NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) tools, I teach my clients how to manage their mind to be as resourceful as possible.  One other distinction from other career coaches is that I’m able to connect my clients with networking opportunities throughout the Seattle / Redmond areas because of my extensive recruiting experience.

About my background:

My recruiting and coaching experience includes individual coaching of senior-level sales, marketing, business development, consultants, as well as all of the other functional roles in organizations, as they were pursuing new careers.  I have worked in all areas of recruiting, as an independent, for retained search firms, and within corporations such as Microsoft.  I have delivered numerous workshops focused in job transition, communication, sales and customer service.  Currently, I am also an adjunct consultant offering individual consulting and workshop delivery for several regional Outplacement Firms.

  • Dahl & Associates has become known as a trusted recruiting resource to diverse companies, as well as non-profit organizations, in the Pacific Northwest.  Executives and individual contributors contact me for introductions and advice given my vast network in the area.
  • At Microsoft, I partnered with their staffing organization and individual hiring managers to recruit, interview, and select senior-level technical product management and marketing professionals for the Microsoft Business Division (MBD).  I was asked to be a Marketing Subject Matter Expert and resource to the entire MBD staffing organization in the area of sourcing and evaluating marketing professionals. 
  • At Onvia, I sourced and hired an entire Enterprise Sales team, developed a Predictive Hiring model for their managers, and co-created their month-long new hire training program. 

Prior to my consulting experience, I held management positions in sales, marketing, information systems, as well as training and organizational development, all in the Pacific Northwest.  I worked for and with firms such as Philips Medical (ATL), Bank of America, Nixdorf, and Nordstrom.  I sold computer hardware and software; managed multiple teams and a multi-million dollar P&L; and trained thousands, giving me a strong foundation to understand and consult on the challenges and needs of both my corporate and consulting clients.

I love my clients and partners, whether the hiring decision makers, the individuals who are in career transition, or the many great consultants and partners who I’m privileged to work with.  Whether I’m able to offer great talent or great opportunities, or great connections, it’s an honor to be able to do the work that I do!

And, finally, since nearly 100% of my business is referral-based, I am grateful for the many who pay me the most sincere compliment, their referrals!  Thank you!
