Whether you need only certain steps in the process handled by us or a fully comprehensive retained search, we can serve you well.
We are selective, taking on recruiting projects only with organizations which we would work for ourselves and also invest in. We base our selections on both competency and character, conducting as much due diligence as we can. When we recruit a candidate for an organization, we are asking them to invest their lives and careers with our clients, so we must be selective in whom we represent!
Modular Search Services
This service allows you to select which steps in the hiring process you want us to manage for you. Depending on your bandwidth and internal resources, you can have us manage what you don’t have time to manage. You will still select the candidates you want to interview and hire. We can manage all the rest.
We work on a retained search basis with our clients. We do not take contingency searches. The professional investment for this service is $100 per hour, with a mutually-agreed upon cap on the total fee for services. The entire search process can take 100 – 150 hours, so we begin with a signed letter of agreement and a $5,000 retainer to begin the search process. Additional expenses for advertising and travel will be pre-approved and billed, as appropriate.

Comprehensive Search Services
Dahl & Associates provides comprehensive services to clients to ensure the most optimal hire possible and minimize the impact on the organization’s internal resources. We offer a one-year guarantee – if the candidate leaves the organization within one year, we will replace the candidate for no additional or refund the fee on a pro-rated basis.
This service provides the employer with a complete management of the candidate search and hiring process including:
- Finalize a position/job description that is an accurate presentation of the job, experience required, achievement expected, etc
- Consult on the total compensation package for the position
- Organize a plan for promotion and advertising of the position
- Set forth a timeline for employer interviews
- Communicate with candidates about the position and select candidates for interview
- Set up the interviews for candidates
- Coach the interview team(s) in effective interviewing and evaluation
- Check out the background/references of the final candidate prior to offer
- Assist employer with the offer and negotiation with final candidate
- Work with employer to wrap-up the search with professionalism to include thank you letters to candidates who interviewed and thank you letters to references
- Coach the employer and the new hire through their transition, defining and monitoring through the first 90 – 180 days, as needed
We work on a retained search basis with our clients. We do not take contingency searches. Our professional services fee is a pre-defined % of the first year’s salary for the position, depending upon the level of the individual to be hired. One-third of the professional investment is due with a signed letter of agreement to begin the search process. At this point the investment is estimated, based on the estimated salary. Final payment is based on the actual salary accepted by the final candidate. Additional expenses for advertising and travel will be pre-approved and billed, as appropriate.
